Arlington National Cemetery

Arlington, VA 22211 www.arlingtoncemetery.mil 877-907-8585 The Army National Cemeteries Program and the Arlington National Cemetery are under the jurisdiction of the United States Army. The grounds of the Arlington National Cemetery honor those who have served our nation by providing a sense of beauty and peace for our guests. The rolling green hills are dotted with trees that are hundreds of years in age and compliment the gardens found throughout the 624 acres of the cemetery. The impressive landscape serves as a tribute to the service and sacrifice of every individual laid to rest within the hallowed grounds of the Arlington National Cemetery. Several U.S. Presidents and family members are buried at Arlington. One of the more famous and most visited is the gravesite of President John F. Kennedy marked by the internal flame. The cemetery is a very special place to visit year round. It is especially inspiring in the early summer when the graves are marked with small United States flags or during the annual wreath laying that takes place in December. All grave monuments have a wreath placed at their side making the entire cemetery a special place for reflection.”
